Pain and Pleasure

I had a goal that this week I would book a massage and play a board game with F. I have failed to do both. F doesn't want to play any board games and right now I don't feel like making him. You see, on the way home (he had picked me up because he wanted my car for the day) he surprised me by informing me I had a massage that evening - and he paid for it!

Thing is, it has been a while and it has knocked me for six. Very tired now. I didn't feel hungry tonight either. She told me off for leaving it too long and to be fair, she is more than right.... So I have no need to book one!

I have had Circle of Stones by Judith Duerk arrive today and I have Widdershins by Charles de Lint and Martha Beck's Joy Diet on the way. I like books and thanks to everyones lovely suggestions, it just keeps growing and growing....

I am very intrigued by the whole Tara thing, it feels significant and I intend to explore this all much more - but not tonight... My bed calls!

  1. massages have never made me feel good- but i think that has more to do with anxiety of strangers touching me than anything... lol. I hope you feel better tomorrow!

YAY new books! :) can't wait to hear about what you think of Widdershins and the others- I need some new ones.

I was wondering- You had said you liked my jewelery frame... I do have two extras just hanging out in my apartment closet and would be more than willing to mail one to you. I know that would entail an address exchange- which if you weren't comfortable I understand. But just wanted to offer in case you'd like one :)

  2. Remember to drink lots of water after a massage! Have sweet dreams.

  3. Ooooooohh...the Joy Diet is on its way to me too!! ;)

I have a Charles de Lint waiting on the shelf for me but I'm reading one that I borrowed off my dad first...World Without End by Ken's the sequel to Pillars of the Earth...and might explain why most of my dreams lately are set in medieval England..;)

    Sweet dreams...

  4. Sounds like heaven, sleep well. Tara sounds very intriguing. I hope you enjoy The Circle Of Stones.

  5. Ms Yogini - thank you but I have to decline, for now. We have plans to remove our three wardrobes and our giant bed and dressing table and two bedside tables from our bedroom. At least we will when we can afford a fitted wardrobe and we shall redecorate at that time to. One of the biggest problems is one of the wardrobes smells and makes everything you put in it smell too! We have stuff everywhere! And huge dark towering furniture.... *sigh*

Holly - oh believe me my masseuse makes sure to drill this into my thick skull everytime!

Mel - glad you are doing it to! Thought you might! Never actually read any Ken Follett....

  6. Thank you Leone. I am sure I will love it, it looks lovely! *hug*

  7. Bless you, the best thing to do after massage is rest, you do right, sweet dreams......
