Various Things

Yesterday was a lovely day and today hasn't been bad either. I am tired though. I had a drink or two last night and then didn't feel like going straight to sleep when we go in. In the night I woke up feeling very cold. I virtually got dressed before getting back into bed and it took ages for me to warm up enough to get back to sleep. F was not being terribly cooperative in his sleep! I still woke at my normal time though and today has felt a little hard in places because I am tired today....

Our fridge freezer died a couple of months back. I have kind of gotten used to buying only what we need that day and noth wasting the electric. Then future m-i-l spotted one free to a good home. She went with F to get it this morning. Shame really that no one really thought about size... The fridge is as big as our old fridge freezer, in fact it is slightly bigger... A fraction to big... F has agreed to move kitchen cupboards and things tomorrow, but I just wasn't in the mood for it all today...

Later we went for a walk, F, S, Little Dog and I. We went somewhere quiet and saw no one and no dogs. We had a lovely time. Little Dog and S ranged ahead a little at times. Little Dog would come back and check on us and lick our hands. We took a little turning that led us to some nice boggy mire. Unfortunatley our lack of wellies and the recent rain meant we weren't going to wade through.

Little Dog doesn't like rain. She doesn't like being splashed in the face. She is a little timid of water. We used a stick or two to make her go in and she was bounding around in it like a good'un. It also served to cool her down as she had been panting pretty hard. She was very, very cute. It did however mean I had the joy of bathing her on our return....

I have another frustration right now....

One of my postcrossing cards just isn't being registered and it really should have gotten there by now. The person requested a transportation card. I got them a picture of Trevithick's Puffing Devil, the first steam car ever. It had it's first journey in Camborne. I sent this card from Camborne on Trevithick Day and I wrote all this on the back... I hope that such a card, sent from here on that day might be something quite special to a transportation fan. Unfortunately this makes me wonder if some employee came across it on it's way to it's intended home and decided they fancied it.... If I could replicate all that it wouldn't annoy me but Trevithick Day has gone for a year and I went to a bit of effort to do all that... I hope it registers soon....
