Down but not Out

I went to the Doctor and got myself another nice little piece of paper. No more drugs though as he feels my chestiness is viral. No mention of bronchitus or pneumonia or any other such thing. Swine flu may have been present but it doesn't matter whether it was or not because there is no way of proving it one way or the other now.

I am just ill and I have another seven days off work.

I am in no hurry to get back. I don't want to go back. I am restless and waiting for the wind to blow me on somewhere else. All the politics and difficulties and struggling colleagues. I just don't want it.

I must admit, before I got ill, that last time. On the Friday when I felt rough and had had enough of everyone. I prayed to the goddess to not make me have to go back. I guess you should be careful what you wish for. It also doesn't stop me from having to go back. It just delays it and gives me a breathing space (*laugh* with a chest infection*).

So where do I go from here? Is there any way I can avoid having to go back but still have money? I have to give a months notice. I have no other job to go to and there are not that many about right now. If I didn't go back I would get a bad reference making it harder to get another job.

I guess I just need to accept the inevitable and keep praying that I win the lottery.

I guess not liking your job is pretty common.

  2. Be open to something new coming into your life. Make a storyboard of what you wish for or write it all down. Be clear and direct about what you wish to do for a living. Pray to the Goddess and be open, she WILL answer your prayer. I know this works. FEEL IT, VISUALIZE IT. You have so many wonderful skills, something will come to you.

  5. Rose ~ hold tight to your faith in yourself now. Maybe you could make use of this time away to really explore what your soul is trying to tell you. It sounds like you're hearing the rumblings already.

Have you ever tried Shamanic Journeying? It's a bit like meditation, but you take a more active role in the process, instead of the usual sort of 'calm the mind and let things go' approach of most meditation techniques. I will try to post a better explanation on my blog this week.

You've been on my mind much of late. I sense you'd like to take the leap and embrace the freedom of a different route, that feels more Authentic and Soul-fulfilling. Something more in line with your own spiritual and creative values. Your true talents.

I'm cooking up some rumblings and writings on these topics for my new blog. Maybe we can chat more about it if you're interested.

First step is embracing the possibility. Try it.

    Much Love and Healing Wishes,

  9. I agree with everyone :) I hope you feel better soon! it would seem that I have all the "symptoms" of the "hog" so I've had to cancel all my clients and stay home- it's great! Perhaps it's that time of year, but I am also ready for a break.

Healing energy to both of us!

  10. Hey Ms Yogini, so hope you get well nice and quick. I think a few of us must have been ready for a break because there seems to have been a few visits from the hog in our part of Bloglandia....
